Advanced Network Management

Based On Finite Elements

The BeanCounter GIS serves as the basis for network applications and offers advanced solutions for network planning, management and troubleshooting, using finite element methods (FEM). The calculation modules are supplied by our partner BSI (Bureau de Service et d’Ingénierie) and services are provided jointly. The system ascertains rapid and complete solutions to questions faced by managers of networks.

For simple water network applications the BeanCounter GIS can export data suitable to EPAnet, the standard calculation module of the US Environmental Protection Agency.

Optional modules for advanced calculations:

Multi-Fields -  a powerful finite element calculation system. Used by other FEM modules.

Tracer -  calculates the progression and dispersion of a tracer in a mesh network of conduits.

Rupture -  defines the valves that have to be closed to isolate a leak

Shock -  prepares the calculation of water hammers.

Demand -  assists describing distributed consumption by zone, for actual situation or connection scenarios.

Controller -  background analysis of data coherence and modification statistic. Lists topological errors.
